Land of Eternal Spring--FL&L

Styled by Ashley Glorioso
Photographed by Zoey Grossman

For all of you who have ever argued that fashion is not art, I think the For Love and Lemon's Spring Collection might be able to sway your vote. First of all, I love these specific colors for spring, especially the white. They're not too loud, but not overly subtle. These clothes definitely make a statement. It brings a sense of warm weather, blossoms, and ripe seasonal fruit. And the details in this collection are incredible. First of all, the lace is gorgeous. I love how it's a little risqué, a little sweet, and a little feminine. So dynamic. I'm also a fan of the tiny flower print, pom-pom fringe, asymmetrical hems, and crop tops. The metal jewels are just the icing on top of the cake. What I think pulls this lookbook together, though, is the location. This Guatemalan setting is beyond words. The architecture, stone paths, and pastel colored walls truly attest to the art behind these pieces. These photos are just a taste of the magic behind this stunning collection. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend was the epitome of a girl's weekend. We spent a few days up in the mountains- Brasstown Valley. Although there is literally n o t h i n g to do in this town, we managed to make it fun. And, it was definitely nice to experience some quiet during the weekend for a change. Saturday morning we lounged around at the spa, spent some time in the steam room, and experienced snow flurries outside in the not-so-hot tub. Afterwards, we drove over to the cutest little winery- Crane Creek Vineyards. There we met some precious pups, including Crash the three legged lab. He might've had a disadvantage, but you would've never known it. He kept up with the other dogs like a champ! We ate dinner at Michaelee's- a cool little caffe with chocolate wraps, beautiful salads and insane desserts. Not too bad. We ended the night playing Head's Up (this app available on iTunes) in front of the massive lobby fireplace. This game is so hysterical and perfect for any setting. You guys have to get it. Bearing the cold was that much more fun in my Free People thermal (the detailing on the sleeves are so pretty!). All in all, this mountain weekend was a perfect getaway with some of my favorite gals.

In the Air

MURAL Leather vest, PAIGE Denim, Michael Kors top, Free People cuff,  Steve Madden shoes (old)
On Taylor: Free People jacket- similartee, Madewell pants, Frye boots

The sun has been loving on us here in Atlanta recently. Not complaining. It's funny- I am so okay with winter weather, until there is a warm, sunny day (aka today)… what a tease!! Now I am full force craving spring. Bring on florals, pastels, and exposed skin. On a day like today, you know I couldn't resist heading down to one of my favorite spots in the city. Plus Free People is having an additional off sale for the holiday weekend (I be jonesin' for a good sale). My weakness. I think this deserted industrial area is so cool. But I actually have no idea the story behind it. The colors worked perfectly with this amazing MURAL vest. I love this thing and the possibilities that come with it. Today was such a nice day out enjoying the sunshine that I've been craving so much. Spring is in the air, guys. Get ready.

Festival Fashion

Photos found on Pinterest

With the recent release of the Coachella 2014 lineup, festival fashion has been running through my head non-stop. Of course the main focus of music festivals is the music itself. The incredible vibe that results from incessant melodies and tunes in the background. The headliners that you stand for hours in one place just to get a good spot in the insane crowd. But along with the music comes the people, and with the people comes a variety of style, creative outfits, and endless inspiration. Here's a little look into past festival outfits. All the details matter- nail color, jewels adorning delicate fingers and collarbones, patterns, crochet, hairstyles, hats, unexpected accessories, everything! A music festival is the one place that you can experiment with absolutely anything fashion related. Embrace the diversity and appreciate the asymmetry. Cheers to festival season 2014!
