30A

Although I hate to think about it, the end of Summer is nearing. While I'm excited for the return of Fall and all that it brings, there is just nothing else that can beat the leisure, fun, relaxation, and adventure that accompanies these Summer months. As I prepare myself for the return of school and some other changes that are currently taking place, I cannot help but to think back to such a blissful trip to Rosemary earlier this Summer. Walks on the beach, yoga by the shore, great food, and creating my own original sent at Patchoulis all while enjoying time with the family… Is there anything better? Wishing I was admiring one of these classic 30A sunsets right about now.

Hot Summer Days

Free People romper, cuff (similar options here & here) ; Frye boots ; NARS lip color

If you didn't already know, summers in Georgia are hot. This past Saturday in Hotlanta itself was no different. It's difficult during these hot couple of months to stay cool and look good without your outfits becoming monotonous. I mean sure, cut offs paired with a cropped tank is a great summer outfit, but it can get a little boring. The solution? This romper. The material is thin and flowy to keep you cool, yet it remains simple and versatile enough to wear all summer long. I wore mine with a subtle belt, but I also love the idea of it thrown over a strappy bralette, or embellished with heavy jewelry. This little number is a summer staple, and a sure way to beat the Southern heat.

"Surrito"

This weekend, a few of the girls and I spent our Saturday in Piedmont Park. The Atlanta Street Food  Festival was going on, and we just couldn't miss out on some good eats. This is the first time any of us had experienced the festival, but we are all so glad that we did. The day featured a variety of food trucks that specialize in interesting, unique, and just flat out good food. We took a lap when we first got there to feel out all of our options, but I personally decided on the Bento Bus. This Japanese cuisine truck featured tacos, nachos, rice bowls, and their ever famous (and my favorite new item) the surrito. This "sushi burrito" has rice, cucumber, avocado, tempora, and my added choice of tofu all squished together in a soy wrap. I mean… this thing was gooood. We also indulged in Westside Creamery's cold treats to beat the heat. An assortment of ice cream, cookie sandwiches, and sorbets did the trick. Although I think we all wish we could've tried more, our choices were very successful. See you next year, surrito!

Red

Free People dress, Urban Outfitters hat, Frye boots, NARS lip color

Holiday + accompanying sales = trip to Atl. Headed to our favorite spots in the city last weekend to spend this beautiful sunny day shopping, eating, and exploring with the pup. Milly loved the furniture in Free People… they just might have a new model. We also got to stop in the Urban Outfitters on Ponce for their event with the Atlanta Humane Society. Milly loved the pet Photo Booth! They used one of the cameras available in the store to print us out a few snapshots to take with us right then! We brought in a few needed items on AHS's wish list to donate and got to see some of the sweet dogs available to adopt. I truly believe with all my heart that adoption is the best option- but that's a rant for a different day. For more information on adopting, donating, or volunteering, visit their website. We ended the day trying out the newest Bubble Tea stop on the way home. There were so many options… I need to go back at least 10 more times to even figure out the whole menu. Days like this define summer for me. I could live in it forever

Tell Me I'm Your National Anthem

Red, white, blue is in the sky… The Fourth of July is such a fun holiday. Pride, spirit and joy cover us as we wear our colors proudly. This Friday we spent the day lounging under the sun and floating in the pool with good company (and great food). This day is meant for red lips and patriotic punch as we celebrate our nation's birthday. I hope yours was spent well!
