Throwback Thursday: Kona

I have had the strongest craving for a tropical environment lately. I just want to be back in Hawaii- the sun kissing my shoulders, wind on my back, the rich colors of the ocean filling my view, and sipping on freshly squeezed pineapple guava juice...

Cruella

Photos by Caroline Fowler

BCBGeneration dress- similar & similar (both on sale!), Free People hat, J Crew belt- similar & similar, Frye boots, Anthropologie watch (on sale!)

Currently loving this weather (except today...)! I have been spending so much time outside lately soaking up the Vitamin D. It's kind of liberating kicking off the jeans and leggings. Warm weather opens up so many doors… like maxi dresses! The perfect Spring piece: not too warm for Winter, but not enough leg to be Summer. Ease out of the cold months with ankle boots, and then transition into warmer months with sandals or wedges. Add a bright, printed belt for some electric Summer vibes. Maxi dresses are fun to play around with… so go play! And enjoy the sunshine :)

PS this NARS matte lip pencil is my favorite! The color I am wearing is Cruella. Check it out.

Disposables

Urban Outfitters Camera

Sooo, I have had one of those Urban Outfitters super cool disposables cameras with background prints on it since last February. I managed to save it over the span of an entire year documenting small events in between- birthdays, New Year's, etc. I really don't know why I was so worried about wasting these shots. I mean, these cameras are only $14.00 at Urban, and they are so worth the buy! These pictures are going to look awesome hanging on my wall… super RAD. I honestly cannot remember the last time that I had actual film developed… years probably! I had forgotten how much fun it is. It was so exciting to go through these pictures, and because I used it over the whole year, I was surprised with many pictures that I had forgotten about! I love all of the fun prints on these photos, and they came out looking really cool (with an exception of a few mess ups…make sure you use the flash/have good lighting). I will definitely be picking up another one of these bad boys next time I'm in the store. And this time I'll try a different theme! You can check out a couple of the themes by clicking on the link above, but there are also more options in store :) Go have fun with a disposable camera, with printed backgrounds or not, and be reminded how fun they are!
HAPPY FRIDAY! TGIF!!!

YAY for birthdays! I had such a fun weekend celebrating with friends and family, and I am feeling more blessed than ever. Thanks to the 'rents for my new Docs! I love love love them. I love them so much that I couldn't even wait to wear them on Saturday. I know that I've mentioned these J Crew pixie pants before, but they really are some of the best pants I have ever put on. So worth the buy. They go with anything and are so comfortable. I wear them all the time! So go try a pair on… plus students receive 15% off when you show your student ID at J Crew! Oh, also! There is a new sweets shop in Lenox Mall-  Sprinkles! This is their first location in Georgia and thank goodness for that. You can get a milkshake blended of two scoops of their ice cream and one of their amazing cupcakes all together. Definitely on my to-do list. I am thankful for such a good weekend- good food, good friends, good family, and simply good times. Cheers to another year of life that I am beyond blessed to receive.

Here is my ideal Valentine's Day outfit. So first of all I should go look for a job in order to purchase this perfect ensemble, and then I should go look for a boyfriend. Just kidding… pizza is better.

Boots & Braids

It has been a cold, snowy past few days here in the Classic City. We Georgia natives are not used to this kind of weather! Now that we've had our fun in the snow and have experienced some powder on the ground, I think it's safe to say that we are all ready for spring… The other day my friend Mercedes and I braved the cold to test out her new camera. Here I am wearing some of my favorites. This Free People top is my go-to top. There are so many ways to style this number. It's a great layering piece for the colder months, but it's light and airy enough to wear throughout spring and summer as well. I'm excited to throw this on over some pattered shorts! I am also a huge fan of these Rag & Bone high waisted jeans. Anything high waisted works for me, actually. And the leather detailing down the calf is so cool. I love how it acts as a subtle little surprise when you finally realize it's there. Finally, I could live in these Frye boots. Like any boot, they take some time to break in (I actually stole this pair from my mom's closet…oops), but now they feel sooo good. It's rare that you find a heeled boot comfortable enough to walk hours in. I wore these all around New York City, and they were surprisingly pleasant! The small lace up on the back makes them a little more dynamic, but still so versatile. Throw these on to dress an outfit up or down. For the hair style, I have the Free People blog to thank. I have a feeling that this will by my go-to all summer long. Praying for continued sunny days, on that note! Happy weekend!
