If you didn't already know, summers in Georgia are hot. This past Saturday in Hotlanta itself was no different. It's difficult during these hot couple of months to stay cool and look good without your outfits becoming monotonous. I mean sure, cut offs paired with a cropped tank is a great summer outfit, but it can get a little boring. The solution? This romper. The material is thin and flowy to keep you cool, yet it remains simple and versatile enough to wear all summer long. I wore mine with a subtle belt, but I also love the idea of it thrown over a strappy bralette, or embellished with heavy jewelry. This little number is a summer staple, and a sure way to beat the Southern heat.

Red

Free People dress, Urban Outfitters hat, Frye boots, NARS lip color
Holiday + accompanying sales = trip to Atl. Headed to our favorite spots in the city last weekend to spend this beautiful sunny day shopping, eating, and exploring with the pup. Milly loved the furniture in Free People… they just might have a new model. We also got to stop in the Urban Outfitters on Ponce for their event with the Atlanta Humane Society. Milly loved the pet Photo Booth! They used one of the cameras available in the store to print us out a few snapshots to take with us right then! We brought in a few needed items on AHS's wish list to donate and got to see some of the sweet dogs available to adopt. I truly believe with all my heart that adoption is the best option- but that's a rant for a different day. For more information on adopting, donating, or volunteering, visit their website. We ended the day trying out the newest Bubble Tea stop on the way home. There were so many options… I need to go back at least 10 more times to even figure out the whole menu. Days like this define summer for me. I could live in it forever.

#LWT

Nothing like a beach trip to cure the Winter Blues. And they better be cured once and for all because it's officially SPRING! Time to mix things up. I love Free People's current trend of the Little White Tee. I had never really thought of it that way before, but it's so true! A basic white tee is quite similar to a little black dress: a necessary staple. I think that I am guilty of always trying to incorporate something different, unique, or cool into my outfits when in reality, going basic is sometimes just the right look! I am excited to play around with this trend some more this Spring. Meanwhile, you can check out how girls all over the world are styling their LWTs on Free People's Pinterest board!

Cruella
Photos by Caroline Fowler
BCBGeneration dress- similar & similar (both on sale!), Free People hat, J Crew belt- similar & similar, Frye boots, Anthropologie watch (on sale!)
Currently loving this weather (except today...)! I have been spending so much time outside lately soaking up the Vitamin D. It's kind of liberating kicking off the jeans and leggings. Warm weather opens up so many doors… like maxi dresses! The perfect Spring piece: not too warm for Winter, but not enough leg to be Summer. Ease out of the cold months with ankle boots, and then transition into warmer months with sandals or wedges. Add a bright, printed belt for some electric Summer vibes. Maxi dresses are fun to play around with… so go play! And enjoy the sunshine :)
PS this NARS matte lip pencil is my favorite! The color I am wearing is Cruella. Check it out.

Boots & Braids
Photos by Mercedes Bleth
Free People tee, Francesca's kimono, Rag & Bone jean (similar & similar), Frye boots (similar), Assorted rings
It has been a cold, snowy past few days here in the Classic City. We Georgia natives are not used to this kind of weather! Now that we've had our fun in the snow and have experienced some powder on the ground, I think it's safe to say that we are all ready for spring… The other day my friend Mercedes and I braved the cold to test out her new camera. Here I am wearing some of my favorites. This Free People top is my go-to top. There are so many ways to style this number. It's a great layering piece for the colder months, but it's light and airy enough to wear throughout spring and summer as well. I'm excited to throw this on over some pattered shorts! I am also a huge fan of these Rag & Bone high waisted jeans. Anything high waisted works for me, actually. And the leather detailing down the calf is so cool. I love how it acts as a subtle little surprise when you finally realize it's there. Finally, I could live in these Frye boots. Like any boot, they take some time to break in (I actually stole this pair from my mom's closet…oops), but now they feel sooo good. It's rare that you find a heeled boot comfortable enough to walk hours in. I wore these all around New York City, and they were surprisingly pleasant! The small lace up on the back makes them a little more dynamic, but still so versatile. Throw these on to dress an outfit up or down. For the hair style, I have the Free People blog to thank. I have a feeling that this will by my go-to all summer long. Praying for continued sunny days, on that note! Happy weekend!

Weekend Getaway
This past weekend was the epitome of a girl's weekend. We spent a few days up in the mountains- Brasstown Valley. Although there is literally n o t h i n g to do in this town, we managed to make it fun. And, it was definitely nice to experience some quiet during the weekend for a change. Saturday morning we lounged around at the spa, spent some time in the steam room, and experienced snow flurries outside in the not-so-hot tub. Afterwards, we drove over to the cutest little winery- Crane Creek Vineyards. There we met some precious pups, including Crash the three legged lab. He might've had a disadvantage, but you would've never known it. He kept up with the other dogs like a champ! We ate dinner at Michaelee's- a cool little caffe with chocolate wraps, beautiful salads and insane desserts. Not too bad. We ended the night playing Head's Up (this app available on iTunes) in front of the massive lobby fireplace. This game is so hysterical and perfect for any setting. You guys have to get it. Bearing the cold was that much more fun in my Free People thermal (the detailing on the sleeves are so pretty!). All in all, this mountain weekend was a perfect getaway with some of my favorite gals.
